Graphic Design is more broad.. it may consist of fine art classes (drawing, painting), technical illustration, Print media/production, web design (html, Flash, Dreamweaver...), exhibition design, packaging, motion graphics and other classes. If you go to a university, it will take about 4 years. If you go to a trade school, maybe only 2 years... but you might not learn as much.





Flash is just one program. Depending how much you want to learn, it can take at least a quarter/semester to know the basics.How long does it take to learn both graphic design n flash animation?
GD it may take 4 years to really learn it, Flash is just the software that you might learn in a week or so. But learning a software used by Graphic designers does not make you one, there is a complete skill set that you need to be one.
