Is an adobe flash drive a hardware or a software?

I tried to download the adobe flash player on my computer but it kept asking for the flash drive. Is an adobe flash drive a hardware or a software?
Adobe Flash Player is a software that you install on your computer to let you watch certain types of files on the internet, usually interactive or movie-like. It is free.

Adobe Flash is the program that makes these files. It is also a software. It is about $500 if you get a good deal. I highly doubt you have it, it's mostly for web designers and animators.

A flash drive, also called a thumb drive, is a little stick that you put in your computer for memory. It has nothing to do with the previous products. In fact, it's much newer than the first version of Macromedia Flash, which came out in the 90's. (Later, Adobe bought the program from Macromedia).

So, your computer wouldn't ask for the flash drive. You probably misinterpreted what it wanted. Is an adobe flash drive a hardware or a software?
a software
Adobe Flash player has nothing to do with ';Flash drives'; which are memory based devices. Adobe Flash is software. I am guessing the software was asking which hard drive to install on.
