I have a Samsung digimax a503 camera. It flashes twice. Is it possible to set it to flash only once?

When taking pictures there is a double flash. It flashes once and on the second flash the picture is taken. Can this be changed to single flash for reaction time while capturing things in motion. Your answers would be appreciated.I have a Samsung digimax a503 camera. It flashes twice. Is it possible to set it to flash only once?
Usually when a camera flashes twice, it is set on ';Red-Eye'; flash. That helps reduce the red eyes in pictures. I'm not exactly sure how to change the settings on your camera, but you should have an auto flash, a red-eye flash, no flash, and flash always on.

Look for a little lightning bolt/arrow symbol.

If you don't have the manual, you should be able to contact the manufacturer. They'll either send you a new one, or provide you with a website so you can print your own!I have a Samsung digimax a503 camera. It flashes twice. Is it possible to set it to flash only once?
You have it set for red eye reduction. This is indicated by the lightning symbol with an eye. You want just the lightning (flash) symbol, which means the flas is on all the time, or lightning with an A for automatic. Just cycle you flash switch to make the change, then test it to see if it's what you want.
not sure if you can change this but the double flash is for a reason. the first flash is to prevent red-eye in your photos and the second is for the picture.
